Lacona’s Portrait with in Progress shots

By far, my favorite of the 4 acrylics I did recently was the one of Lacona, our 15 year old dog. I took her outside and tried to do a photo shoot. She was being most uncooperative and I had to take oodles of shots. At one point she was being pretty beligirent and rolled over on her back. I got the cutest shot of that…may paint it in the future. I settled on this pose for her portrait.  Just for fun, I thought I’d show you the painting in progress….

 

(Again, I’m unsure why there looks to be a stripey effect in the photograph. You can see it in the lower left of this last picture).
